Ten data centers hold 39% of the AI power capacity Epoch AI tracks.

Epoch AI keeps an open database of the largest data centers built for artificial intelligence. Seventy-three of its 93 sites have power capacity today, 13,833 megawatts in all. This page looks at the ten largest, which hold 5,356 of them. Select a site to see who owns it, who uses it and how much computing it holds.

Each circle is one site, sized by power.

The other two are both DayOne sites in Malaysia. Across all 73 sites with capacity, 60 are American.

Google's Pryor site, by power and by computing

It has the ninth-most power of the ten but the fourth-most computing, at an estimated 1,730 H100-equivalents per megawatt. The median across the 73 sites is 1,137.

Two of the ten are in Memphis, Colossus 1 and Colossus 2. Two more are Microsoft's Fairwater sites, in Georgia and Wisconsin.

Before you quote this

What the numbers can and cannot say.

These are estimates. Epoch builds them from satellite imagery, permits and public documents. It says its power estimates fall within a factor of 1.4 of the true figure about 80% of the time.

The list is not complete. Epoch estimates it covers about 43% of the world's deployed AI computing, so 13,833 megawatts is not a world total.

Twenty sites are missing from the circles. They are in the database but show no capacity yet, so they have nothing to size.

Cost is not measured separately. Epoch's data prices every site at the same $37.9 million per megawatt, so cost follows power exactly. This page shows it as an implied figure and does not rank by it.

Ownership carries Epoch's confidence. Each owner and user is rated confident, likely or speculative, and the ratings are shown here. Epoch lists no owner or user for the two DayOne sites.
